Empire Total War Sturzt Ab
Conquer Venice. When you will attack quick enough then they won't be able to create a strong garrison.
Hard to believe Empire Total War is almost 9 years old. This game helped me properly appreciate history and strategy once upon a time. To celebrate, I will be playing as the mighty Swedish Empire. If Empire: Total War - Gold Edition is not already running, double-click on the Empire: Total War - Gold Edition application icon. By default this is to be found in the Applications folder on your computer’s hard drive. The Empire: Total War - Gold Edition pre-game Options window will appear. Click on the Play button. The game will launch.
Then deploy there some weak units (pikemen or pandours) in harbors to prevent Venice ships from plundering your territory.2. Then move your troop to the border near Poland. Reinforcement your regiments and then invade Warsaw. You will divide Poland into two separated lands.
If Poland will attack you fist the simply defeat them (their forces shouldn't be numerous). If Prussia won't declare war to you then conquer Galicia, Podole, Gdansk, Courland and Saxony. The last two ones should be taken after you will end with Poland and Prussia.3. If Prussia will declare war to you (there is a high possibility of that, especially when you will conquer Gdansk) sign a peace treaty with Poland. They may agree to do that after you will take Warsaw. Then start to fight with Prussia - take Berlin (it should be easy) and Krolewiec (you may find a very powerful garrison there).4.
Russia is the Polish ally, so they may join the war. If you are strong enough to divide your army then start to fight with Russians and Ottoman Empire on the south. If you can't do that then fortificate some troops on the north and try to sign a peace treaty. Take care of the Turkish army.5.
I advise you to conquer whole Balkans (including one region of Venice on the south of the peninsula). You don't have to attack Anatolia.
If you have conquered Russia earlier the (after taking Istanbul) you should have enough territories to win the game. DiplomacyIt is very possible that at the beginning of the game Venice will declare war to you. Prepare your army, train 3 more line infantry regiments and defeat them. After you will conquer Venice, Spain will want to take it away from you (for Florida). It is a bad proposition because Venice is required to victory.During the Campaign Ottoman Empire will want to give you some technological support for some provinces. It is not a bad idea.
At last you will have to defeat them anyway. But at the beginning you can give them some land. Keep Croatia, because it is useful to trade in the Mediterranean Sea. Sweden will also want to exchange some regions - they will want some eastern Polish lands and Moscow.
They won't offer anything interesting for you. TradeOttoman Empire will want to set a trade route with you. You can try to talk with Genoa too.
Try to conquer Venice very quickly - you will gain access to the Mediterranean Sea and you will be able to trade with Great Britain and Marat Confederation.
Welcome to!A subreddit for all of those who love the Total War series. It depends on why you refunded Napoleon.I for one am a lover of Napoleon and meh-er of Empire, but my opinion is not the majority.Empire has the same style combat as Napoleon.
That is, lines of infantry lobbing bullets at each other, with cavalry and artillery support.Empire is the less polished game of the two; it is buggier, and imo the combat is less fun. However, what Empire lacks in raw quality it makes up in in scope.
Count me in as a huge fan of Napoleon, too. It's up there for favorite game in the series. The vanilla experience is great out of the box, but like all TW games it really shines when modded. If anyone wants to bring the best out of NTW, just add a comprehensive package like Dartmod. I use that in combination with Bran Mac Born's campaign AI and my own house mod that further deepens the battles. The seasons, the replenishment, the aesthetics, graphics etc.

Empire is like a half-finished game in comparison. There was actually talk from CA in 2010 to perhaps port over some features and fixes from NTW to ETW - but it sadly never happened. I think 'warts and all' versions of old games are important to have. Sure, I might appreciate when re-releases remove some of the most annoying parts of the original version, but at the same time I think that does detract from the experience somewhat. People can still like things despite problems, and sometimes polish paradoxically gives off the impression of something being less fun than something that was flawed but ambitious or experimental. Also, think about it from a financial standpoint. If Empire was re-released with Napoleon improvements, then what exactly is the point of ever bothering to buy Napoleon? I'm not really a fan of companies that sell 'beta' products that are done properly later, but at the same time I think the idea of diminishing the value of your existing products is not an easy pitch to make. Empire and Napoleon can both be sold because one relies on scope while one relies on polish and tightness.
If Napoleon was little more than a smaller scope Empire, then what would be the point in creating Napoleon in the first place, you know? I think you can see something similar happening with Rome 2 and Attila, and perhaps even stuff like Shogun 2 and FotS. The later, still similar things are often considered more polished or better, but also often smaller in scope. Sounds like Empire will be right up my ally, then. I was absolutely loving Napoleon for its combat until I unlocked 'alliance campaigns' and realised that was their substitute for Grand Campaign.
Empire Total War Mods
Napoleon's campaign was terrible, I thought, and then they only give you 4, very limited, very scripted options for single player. I just shut the game down and requested a refund. I don't think Total War is Total War without Grand Campaign, which is a shame because I loved Napoleon for its combat before I realised how terrible the single player was.
Empire is my favorite but it has some big flaws that make people dislike it. Namely the slow combat, shit AI and fairly boring unit roster most nations have.Darthmod fixes most of these issues and I highly reccomend you download it. It makes the game so much better on every level. But you asked for a personal vouch so I will explain:I love empire because it has the scale that no other Total War has and it's set in a time period that I love to read and learn about. I think the game adheres the time period well too, You can colonize the new world, control lots of money with naval units and really push your nation into the industrial age, and that is also reflected in the game as later on your nations military and economy becomes more efficent, uniformed and easier to produce. The sounds are great too with Darthmod and that adds an awesome level for me. There is no better sound in a Total War game than Muskets firing, Cannons being shot and commanders shouting orders and whatnot. It has a great ambience to it.Honestly the detractors are tough to get over, but I have learned to accept them, laugh at them and just enjoy playing the game and not focus so much on the combat, but more the feel and emersion the game puts you into.
Its a cool feeling if you get that into it.
