Man i love it so much, it was my first Doom game. I didn't get a computer till the mid 2000's, so I didn't get to play the original Dooms until I was older.

Classic Doom stuff belongs in deathz0r's The Dark Side of Doom thread, especially since as of this writing it's pretty dead. Download the Doom 64 TC! - requires Doom2.wad. Your fatigue was enormous, the price for encountering pure evil. Hell was a place no mortal was meant to experience. MAP13: Dark Citadel is the thirteenth level of Doom 64, designed by Tim Heydelaar. It uses the music track 'Voices In The Blood'. Not the toughest level, but one that can make you jump more so than others. You will find yourself getting randomly ambushed by demons, Hell knights, and barons throughout the level. This stage uses the starry skyline from the earlier 7 stages.

Doom 64 Review

I remember eating hot cheetos in a pitch black room at night while playing it. The music creeped me out, and was the reason I played it in the dark late at night while everyone was sleeping. I play Doom 64 ex all the time, and I bought that kickass soundtrack. I like to play the soundtrack on Halloween while I give out candy and scare children. Worst game in the series without a doubt. Absolutely atrocious level design.

Doom 64 Dark Citadel Walkthrough

Terrible soundtrack (i'm not a fan of the whole 'pots and pans, babies crying, and nails on a chalkboard' genre of music, but I can understand if you can get past it and enjoy it). The redone enemies and the psx sounds are great, but the death animations look like they were made in ms paint and the awesome atmosphere is undermined by boring, garbage gameplay.Very strange design choices by the devs, such as sacrificing things such as shotgun animations because there wasn't enough room on the cartridge. Even though zombies/shotgunners and barons/hell knights each have their own sprite sheets despite looking extremely similar. Lots of wasted space and potential. The only people who like the game are those who experience nostalgia for it, which is 100% understandable, I still like Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase even though it's pretty awful because it was one of the first video games I ever played. People just need to understand that nostalgia!= actual quality.Anyone who says they think Doom 64 is an overall good game not because of some form of nostalgia is lying.
